Acknowledging Our Connection to the Land

As one part of our broader sustainability initiatives, Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. recognizes our strong connection to Mt. Werner, the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, and the habitat that they provide for local wildlife.  In respect of this connection, Steamboat works closely with local wildlife experts to protect wildlife, including initiatives to provide a winter access closure for elk, educational campaigns to prevent guests from feeding Canada Jays, and an ongoing moose study to help preserve their habitat and ensure the safety of the wildlife as well as our guests.
