Over 6,000 Free Community Meals Provided During COVID-19

To aid the Steamboat Springs community during the uncertainty created by COVID-19, Steamboat Ski Resort & Corporation created a Community Meal Pick Up offering free reheat-able dinner staples to local residents in need. Approximately 200 hearty main dishes were served Monday – Friday for six weeks, equaling over 6,000 free meals in total. When the resort shut down in March of 2020, SSRC was able to donate 1,200lbs of perishables to the local food bank (LiftUp Routt County), nonprofits and the last 200lbs to a local pig farmer.
